We're seeking a Brass Instrument Sales Specialist who is not only knowledgable about brass instruments but also passionate about diving deep into our product range and the music retail industry. This role involves engaging directly with our customers, managing inventory, and participating in vibrant sales experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Extend a warm welcome and provide outstanding customer service to everyone who walks through our doors.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries promptly and informatively.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Uphold the Guiding Principles of Houghton Horns.
  • Guide customers through tailored sales appointments, helping them select the perfect instruments and accessories.
  • Represent Houghton Horns at national trade shows, enhancing our brand presence.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage inventory accurately and efficiently using our sophisticated software systems.

Work Schedule

  • Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proficient brass musician with a deep understanding of brass pedagogy and terminology.
  • Holds a BM/BA degree in music or equivalent professional experience.
  • Keen interest in learning more about the music products industry.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using POS and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for prioritizing and managing time effectively.
  • Physically capable of handling the demands of the role, including lifting instruments and regular manual tasks.
